This kit requires an existing FACTORY OEM ELECTRIC POWER TAILGATE. Please verify that your Tahoe or Yukon is equipped with the original electric tailgate before placing an order.
The 4th Generation Chevrolet Tahoe / GMC Yukon was introduced for the 2015 model year and uses the GMT K2XX platform. The Tahoe internal code is GMTK2UC, while the Yukon uses GMTK2UG.
The 5th Generation Chevrolet Tahoe / GMC Yukon was introduced for the 2021 model year and moved to GM's GMT T1XX architecture. The Tahoe uses GMT1UC and the Yukon uses GMT1UG.
The fifth-generation Yukon was substantially redesigned with a new chassis, longer wheelbase and independent rear suspension. GMC officially introduced it as the Next Generation Yukon for 2021.
Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon XL are not automatically included. They are the extended-length versions with different rear body dimensions and tailgate components. Please select the correct vehicle configuration.
