Sensor Installation Notes & Placement Guide

Correct sensor installation is important for reliable hands-free tailgate operation. Please follow the installation requirements below.

  • 1. Sensor Direction
The side marked "SENSOR" must face upward toward the sky after installation. Incorrect installation direction may reduce detection sensitivity.
  • 2. Installation Position
The sensor must be installed inside the rear bumper area. Place the sensor in a position where it can detect foot movement below the bumper.
  • 3. Avoid Metal Obstructions
Do not install the sensor directly on metal parts or behind metal structures. Metal interference may affect sensing performance.
  • 4. Keep Detection Area Clear
Do not cover the sensor detection area with thick pads, brackets, or other materials. Make sure the sensing side remains unobstructed.

Important Installation Reminder

Please test the kick function before permanently fixing the sensor. The sensor orientation and installation location directly affect detection performance.
