The 3rd Generation Acura MDX uses model codes YD3 / YD4 / YD7 and covers the 2014–2020 model years. The 2017 model year received a major facelift, but it remained within the same generation.
The 4th Generation Acura MDX uses model codes YD8 / YD9 / YE1 and began with the 2022 model year. Acura introduced it as an all-new fourth-generation MDX built on a new platform.
The 2021 model year was skipped during the transition between the third and fourth generations. The fourth-generation MDX entered production in 2021 for the 2022 model year.
For the 4th Generation, YD8 corresponds to the Type S configuration, while YD9 / YE1 cover the 3.5L V6 configurations. Please confirm your exact vehicle configuration before ordering.
