This kit requires an existing FACTORY OEM ELECTRIC POWER TAILGATE. Please verify that your Mazda CX-9 is equipped with the original electric tailgate before placing an order.
The 2nd Generation Mazda CX-9 uses the model code TC. Mazda unveiled the second-generation CX-9 in 2015, and production began in February 2016.
The TC generation uses a turbocharged 2.5L SKYACTIV-G four-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Depending on market and trim, both FWD and AWD configurations were available.
The CX-9 received several exterior, interior and equipment updates during its lifecycle. These updates did not represent a new generation; all of them remain within the TC generation.
Mazda discontinued the CX-9 in the U.S. after the 2023 model year and replaced it with the CX-90. The CX-9 production lifecycle ended in 2023/2024 depending on market.
