This kit requires an existing FACTORY OEM ELECTRIC POWER TAILGATE. Please verify that your Mazda CX-50 is equipped with the original electric tailgate before placing an order.
The Mazda CX-50 uses the model code VA and entered production in 2022 for the 2023 model year.
The CX-50 remains within its 1st Generation VA model line. Model-year updates, trim changes and the introduction of hybrid variants do not represent a new generation.
The current CX-50 is still in production. Mazda's official 2026 model information lists both gasoline and hybrid CX-50 models, confirming that the VA generation remains the current model.
Depending on market and trim, the CX-50 is available with different powertrain configurations, including naturally aspirated gasoline, turbocharged gasoline and hybrid variants.
