The 4th Generation Lincoln Navigator U554 was introduced for the 2018 model year. It was a completely redesigned full-size luxury SUV and was also offered in the extended-wheelbase Navigator L configuration.
The 4th Generation Navigator and Navigator L share the U554 model code. The Navigator L uses a longer wheelbase and provides additional passenger and cargo space compared with the standard Navigator.
Lincoln introduced a major facelift for the 2022 model year, including revised exterior styling, a redesigned interior and updated technology. The 2022–2024 facelift remained part of the 4th Generation U554.
The 5th Generation Lincoln Navigator U718 was revealed in August 2024 and entered production for the 2025 model year. It brought a completely redesigned exterior and interior while retaining the full-size body-on-frame architecture.
The 5th Generation Navigator and Navigator L both use the U718 model code. The standard Navigator has the shorter wheelbase, while the Navigator L retains the extended-wheelbase configuration.
