The 1st Generation XT5 was introduced for the 2017 model year and replaced the Cadillac SRX. Cadillac's official materials identify the XT5 as a new luxury crossover introduced in this period.
The 2nd Generation XT5 was officially launched in China in 2024 as a 2025 model. It features a substantially redesigned body and interior and is primarily associated with the Chinese market.
Please note that 2025 XT5 does not automatically mean 2nd Generation. The North American 2025 XT5 continued with the 1st-generation design, while the all-new 2nd-generation XT5 was introduced in China.
