⚠️ AP31 / EP22 PLATFORM CRITICAL TECHNICAL INSTALLATION NOTICE

• Strict No-Load & Shipping Tie Warning: Never connect power to actuate or bench-test the system before the upgrade kit is completely bolted into the door framework. Running the system under zero-load conditions can permanently warp the lock mechanism. Ensure the shipping cable tie on the lock tongue is cut off before assembly.
• Mandatory Factory Sponge Stripping: Before assembly, carefully inspect the OEM factory lock block surface. You MUST completely peel off the black factory sealing sponge/foam layer from the upper contact area. If left intact, the sponge will bunch up inside the upgrade latch mechanism, creating mechanical friction that interferes with the motor's return stroke and suction cycle.
• Door Card & Component Disassembly: Remove the two factory retaining screws located on the door card (one behind the inner handle trim, one inside the armrest cup). Gently pry the inner card from the bottom outward, then unplug the factory wire connectors and peel back the clear dust boot to access the cavity.
• Bracket Bottom-Up Slide Alignment: Unscrew the 3 OEM factory lock screws. Guide the custom-molded LiTanglee mounting bracket from the bottom of the cavity, sliding it upward until its alignment tabs mesh securely into the lower slots and the 3 factory screw holes align perfectly before bolting down the lock unit on top.
• Control Box Orientation: When mounting the electronic control module inside the door cavity using the adhesive pad, position it so that the wire harness exit faces downward and the sealed clean side faces upward. This prevents vertical moisture drainage from running down into the circuit connector.
• Passenger Footwell Fuse Box Power Interception: Power routing is centrally fed through the internal fuse panel located under the front passenger side footwell/dashboard. Locate the specified 20A factory fuse, pull it out, and insert the LiTanglee fused circuit inline-tap bypass directly into the slot. Route the fused harness across the lower dashboard panel to the driver's side using the provided extension line.
• Split Chassis Grounding (GND): The black system ground wires must be bolted directly to the vehicle's structural metal chassis frame behind the lower kick panels. The harness includes a short ground lead optimized for the front door node and a long ground lead to be routed neatly through the B-pillar boot to the rear door.
• Glass Regulator Clearance Pre-Test: Secure the steel actuation cables flatly along the door's interior framing away from the moving window path. Always completely roll down the door window glass manually to verify that the glass panel clears the upgraded motor assembly casing before putting the door card back on.
